MY FAIR LADIES

Devised and performed by Des Keogh

A hugely entertaining new play about the romantic life of George Bernard Shaw, one of the greatest playwrights of all time.

BACK IN BEWLEY'S CAFE ON GRAFTON STREET!

Following the phenomenal national and international success of his show The Love-Hungry Farmer by John B. Keane, Des has devised and will perform in this play about the many women in the extraordinary life of one of the greatest playwrights of all time.

Author of Pygmalion, which became the smash-hit film My Fair Lady, Shaw shares anecdotes about the loves of his life, who included leading actresses of his day like Mrs Pat Campbell and Ellen Terry, and elaborates on his forthright views on marriage and celibacy.

Des Keogh has played extensively in the Abbey, Gate and Gaiety Theatres in Dublin. He last appeared at Bewley’s Café Theatre in the acclaimed play The Quiet Land by Malachy McKenna, which was revived for a second run at Bewley’s and subsequently did a lengthy national tour.

Directed by Patrick Talbot
