At Bewley’s Café Theatre, currently residing in the Powerscourt Theatre, Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, there is no better way to enjoy the work of some of Ireland's leading theatrical talents than up-close-and-personal at one of our lunchtime performances.

Since opening its doors in 1999, Bewley's Cafe Theatre has emerged as Ireland's foremost venue for Lunchtime Drama and has an international reputation for innovation and excellence, (Irish Times Judges' Special Award Winner) while maintaining a uniquely Irish and personal touch.

The repertoire ranges from classic one-acts showcasing the wit of Shaw, Wilde and O'Casey to the very best of new Irish writing. The programme has a strong emphasis on comedy and theatricality and a visit is guaranteed to brighten up any afternoon.

Doors open at 12.50pm and a delicious light lunch can be enjoyed during the performance which starts at 1.10pm and is over by 2.00pm leaving the rest of the day to enjoy other Dublin attractions. The lunchtime theatre experience slots easily into a busy schedule and provides a welcome opportunity to take a breather whilst enjoying some of the best entertainment Dublin has to offer. And it's good value too with prices starting from €8, (with lunch of soup and hearty brown bread, an additional €4).
